Integral Design Division

Integral Design is a company founded on the belief that planning for diversity is essential. Diverse audiences are ever more varied: not only with respect to gender, race, age, and language proficiency, but also by physical and sensory abilities and disabilities. Inviting all visitors, and then allowing them to feel welcome and comfortable is the key to success.

Universal Design helps businesses to address accessibility for growing audience diversity. Incorporating the elements of Universal Design into every aspect of your operation improves "visitability" and is simply good business.

J.T. Childs, Jr., IBM's vice president of global work force diversity, on the corporate view of work force diversity:

"We have moved from the moral imperative to the strategic imperative. The moral imperative says do it because it's a nice thing to do. The strategic imperative says do it because it is inextricably linked to the success of your business. And if you don't do it, it's going to hurt your bottom line."
